MURDER, SEVERE INJURY, AND MENTIONS OF DEPRESSION

This Alternate Reality takes place two months into the Shainer illness lockdown. Josh can't handle being stuck in the house for that long and speeds out, to Jax's horror. He tries to stop Josh from going over to a cruel and violent stranger... Will he succeed, or will he fail and the failure will cost both their lives? Read on to find out!

Jax chased his brother, Josh, as he sped out of the house. He couldn't handle it now, as two months have passed. Josh had fallen into loneliness-induced depression and desperately needed social interaction. To help Josh, Jax had taken time off gaming and spent more time with Josh, as that was the only thing keeping Josh mentally alive. He sped toward the nearest person (or car), but they proved to be hostile. He growled, "Get away from me, boy." Jax sensed cruelty in the older male and rushed over to pull his brother away from the stranger. Josh whispered, "I just wanted to talk..." and a lonesome and sad tear rolled down. The stranger narrowed his eyes at the two brothers and said, "Black-eyed, if you don't get your friend away from me, he's going to perish." Jax narrowed his own gaze as he bit back a gasp. "He's my brother, and if you kill him, I'm gonna do some serious harm to you." The cruel older car aimed a pistol at a fallen and depressed Josh. "I will kill him. No matter how innocent he is." Jax said, "No, you won't," Jax pulled out his pocketknife in a defensive position. "Kill my brother, and it's over for you." The guy smiled cruelly and shot at Jax, who moved out of instinct, leaving a frightened-stiff Josh vulnerable. Jax immediately got back in front of his brother, in the same position before moving. "Josh, GO!" Unfortunately, Josh was frozen in fear. Jax seemed to understand this and tried to shake him awake, only to get injured by a gunshot. Now, Josh's only hope for survival was if his body was going to move. However, he noticed Jax was grimacing and wounded, gasoline pouring out of a bullet wound. He put... himself... at risk... to save... me... Josh thought, heartbroken to see his brother in pain. He drove away as fast as possible, tears spilling out of his eyes at leaving Jax with the cruel person. He knew Jax had done that to spare his life, and if Jax did die, he would've wanted Josh to make it out alive. Then, he heard a gunshot. The stranger had killed Jax in cold blood. Josh thought, JAX! and burst into tears, knowing Jax was dead. He had been murdered in cold blood. Shot. Killed. Soon, his cruel murderer caught up with Josh, aiming to repeat the cold-blooded action. He shot at Josh, hitting him DIRECTLY in the side, killing him. Josh was gone. He'd suffered the same painful fate as Jax. Their murderer left their bodies there, getting the pocketknife that'd fallen to the ground.

Even though it may seem like Jax's awful death was in vain, it wasn't in vain. He'd shown how far his love for Josh runs, taking off time to game and trying to help his brother, going out when Josh sped out, protecting Josh in a time of danger, and the most important of all, dying for Josh.
