Summary[]
Tick, tick.
Jasper lives in fear of the hunters. They're barely even dragons- evolved into a twisted state beyond what they once were. They're soulless, malicious, hunting down any dragon who's genetic code differs from the standard. To top it off, they are immune to animus magic. Cursed. Blessed. Who knows? Do they even count as dragons? No matter what, they're a force to be reckoned with. Animi such as Jasper are top priority. However, when Jasper happens to meet the Princess of the SandWings, who is also an animus, things get complicated...
Part One: They're Coming[]
Chapter One: Jasper[]
Run.
When you see them coming you run.
When you hear their call you run.
They can find you, but they might not catch you.
Run.
Jasper repeated the words to theirself. Sand and dust swirled through the desert, stinging their eyes. How he longed for rain, or water, or anything in the desert's sad heat. Sadly, all they could find was a prickly-pear cactus.
You shall not use your magic, your curse, to your advantage. Sighing, they sliced the cactus with their talons, filling their pouch with water.
I hope this doesn't make me sick, they thought to themselves. Everything seemed still in the desert.
